The next edition of the Young Car Mechanic contest has started!

The latest edition of the Young Car Mechanic contest has been launched! This is the eighth edition of the event, which brings together young car enthusiasts. The competition, which promotes knowledge and skills in automotive mechanics, is becoming increasingly popular, attracting participants from 10 countries. Here are the highlights of this year's edition.

The Young Car Mechanic competition is a unique opportunity for young car enthusiasts to demonstrate their skills and gain valuable experience as a car mechanic. This year's eighth edition promises to be particularly interesting.

One of the most important aspects of the competition is to promote the profession of car mechanics among young people. As many as 10 countries are taking part in the national qualifiers, making Young Car Mechanic one of the most prestigious automotive competitions in the region. Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, and Greece are the countries whose representatives will compete at the International Finals, showcasing their skills and knowledge.

It is worth mentioning that in Poland, the Young Car Mechanic initiative is supported by the Young HR programme. For the participants in this programme, the opportunity to take part in the competition is an added value bringing educational values and pure, even sporting, competition. For suppliers, on the other hand, it is an opportunity to familiarise young car mechanics with their brand and products.

Last year's Young Car Mechanic competition was undoubtedly a success, attracting as many as 3,200 students. This is an impressive figure and testifies to the growing interest of young people in car mechanics and the prestige of the competition.

The Young Car Mechanic competition itself is divided into several stages, allowing participants to gradually develop their skills and compete at an increasingly higher level. The first stage is the qualifiers, which take place in each participating country separately. Winners are then selected to move on to the national finals, and from there the best students have the chance to compete in the international finals.

A special highlight of this year's Young Car Mechanic competition is the international final, which will be held in Lithuania. This is a unique opportunity for finalists to meet and compete with their peers from other countries, as well as to win valuable prizes and awards. For the finalists, an educational and training programme 'Winner Trip' in the form of a trip is also organized after the competition, during which the participants spend a few days in the country in question getting to know more about the local culture or exploring the logistics and production processes of the aftermarket during a visit to the factories and warehouses of the competition partners.

The support of the competition's partners, who play a key role in organizing the event, should not be forgotten either. NRF has joined the group of partners this year, expanding the roster of recognized brands such as ZF Aftermarket, Bosch, Schaeffler, Meyle, Shell, Febi Bilstein, Continental, Elring, Filtron, Varta, and Valeo. Thanks to their involvement, the contestants have access to the latest automotive technologies and products, which only enriches the experience of the students themselves.

This year's Young Car Mechanic contest heralds plenty of excitement and challenges. Not only is it an opportunity to gain valuable experience as a car mechanic, but also to meet peers from other countries and develop a passion for motoring. For all car and automotive enthusiasts, this is an event not to be missed.
