Young Car Mechanic competition gains strong support - Delphi brand joins the group of partners!

Positive changes in Young Car Mechanic competition. Delphi, a manufacturer of spare parts offering high-quality solutions for fuel systems, engine management, and vehicle electronics, joins the group of international partners.

The 8th edition of Young Car Mechanic is approaching!

Delphi by contributing its extensive automotive know-how will provide an even broader and more detailed spectrum of knowledge and experience from which participants will be able to benefit.

This is important because the idea of the contest is to promote the profession of auto mechanics among students of technical and general schools with specialized profiles. Joining the partners of a leading global brand can help achieve this goal.

The competition as one of the largest of its kind in Europe currently consists of 10 countries, where national finals are organized. The winners from each country meet during the International Finals to compete for the title of best young mechanic of the year 2024.

The wide range of partners already includes Bosch, Continental, Elring, Febi, Filtron, Meyle, NRF, Schaeffler, Shell, Valeo, Varta and ZF Aftermarket. Delphi is now also joining this distinguished group.

- "We always select the most competent partners who bring quality when joining the Young Car Mechanic competition. By entering Delphi to the project, we know what benefits it brings. I believe that thanks to this, we can raise the quality level of the competition from year to year and provide participants with even more development opportunities," says Armands Umbraško, leader and coordinator of the Young Car Mechanic project.

- "We are particularly focused on developing and supporting young talents in the field of auto mechanics. We know that initiatives such as Young Car Mechanic are an excellent opportunity to promote technical education, inspire passion, and support future industry professionals. By supporting Young Car Mechanic, we want to actively participate in shaping young people's careers by providing them with the resources and opportunities to develop their skills and gain practical experience. This is an opportunity for us to build bridges between theory and practice, as well as to engage in the development of professional competencies that are crucial in the automotive industry," - says Tomasz Hurt, Technical Manager of Delphi.
